Miss Comportment

If I hadn’t seen it myself, I would not have believed it.

Sheriff Paul … gun drawn, arrested right there in front of Carson and Elyse.

The commotion was absolutely petrifying. If Bernie hadn’t been standing there, able to get that gun out of Paul’s hands, well, where would we be today?

And now, dear reader, during this lowest of low times, the happy couple is sitting down for a national TV interview with one Susan Cotton this evening.

(Don’t ask me how she landed that exclusive … but then again I guess she’s the only “real” reporter left covering this Mick case, unless you count Bernie, who seems to have found a home writing in support of Mayor Charlotte’s agenda.)

“Small Town, Big Crime,” the advertisements are yelling, along with dramatic music – and a picture of Lindy’s boat.

But I digress. A pall has fallen over our beloved Chickotee. Yes, life here in the Valley has become, well, downright unfriendly. Where once our children danced in the mud and on the banks of the river, they now stay inside after school with their video games and television shows.

Quick shout out to Bitsy – good to see you back on the “scene” and in rare form! You sure know how to throw a party. And kudos to the Riverside for that menu! Cassie, you outdid yourself …

STAY TUNED, Middle Valley!
