So I show the guy the place on River Road.
Hi. We’ve not met.
Is it enough, I ask him?
I know full well it’s not because, hell, it’s not California. The man has money. That’s all I really know about him though. He’s paying cash.
So maybe, just maybe, I can push this a little.
Maybe he thinks he’s going to spend one thing, but now he might need to spend more.
Only I can determine.
I need to refine my approach. He’s looking for this tired, lazy, quiet town. I mean, that’s his mission.
He’s not looking for the flashy, high-maintenance thing.
I still don’t understand, but what I believe, from experience, is that “NEW” money means power in this town. And this guy is all about the new money.
He wants to settle down, he just doesn’t know it yet. He wants to have a home, he just doesn’t know it yet.
And he is declaring Middle Valley his HOME.
Not to cloud the discussion here, or implicate anyone, but the guy is shady. I mean, his financials are crazy.
You just can’t account for new money … new cash, new business in the region.
Do we need it? I think not, but I like the sentiment.
